The Cambridge Association of Architects (CAA) is the local chapter of the Royal Institute of British Architects for the Cambridge and Cambridgeshire area. Core activities of the chapter include annual projects and/or events, involvement in local public consultation, and supporting the biannual 'Cambridge Architecture' gazette.
By signing up to our email database, you are agreeing to receive emails from the CAA, including reminders of monthly meetings, information about upcoming events, and other local RIBA related information.

Your Data
- Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we are required to inform you that your personal data will be transferred to, and stored on, a third-party email automation service, MailChimp, a trading name of The Rocket Science Group, LLC.
- The personal data you provide will be stored securely on MailChimp's servers, password-protected, and only used to send you emails from the email platform. The intended content of these emails is described above.
- Your personal data is controlled by the Cambridge Association of Architects (CAA) with MailChimp acting only as a processor to send emails on behalf of the CAA.
- The platform also allows us to track interactions so that we can learn how to improve our emails.
- You may unsubscribe from the database at any time. Please note that MailChimp keeps your personal data on record to prevent accidental or fraudulent re-subscription by someone else without your consent.
- You have the right to be forgotten. You may contact the CAA and request to be forgotten, in which case we will permanently delete your account and all data associated with it. Please note that this prevents the protection from re-subscription described in point 5.
- You have the right of access. You may request the personal data held by the CAA on the MailChimp platform at any time.
- You have the right of portability. You may request the export of your personal data to a third party at any time by contacting the CAA.
- You have the right to rectification. You may request any correction or update to your personal information at any time by contacting the CAA or directly contacting MailChimp.
- You have the right to object. The CAA has opted out of MailChimp's user analytics on behalf of all subscribers. This means the personal data held by MailChimp is not used for any science or data research projects.
